DISTRIBUTIVE EDUCATION CLUBS OF AMERCIA (DECA)

• DECA is open to any student that is enrolled in Marketing I or II. The mission of DECA is to develop future leaders in the marketing field through civic responsibility. The Association of Marketing Students, DECA, is an organization for students who are interested in Marketing as a career. Activities include competitions, community service projects and leadership conferences.

FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA (FBLA)

• FBLA is open to students who are enrolled in a business class either at JHS or FTC. Students have leadership opportunities including competition, social activities, and community service activities.

FFA

• FFA is a co-curricular part of the Natural Resources program. FFA offers opportunities for students to receive awards in personal leadership, chapter and community activities at the local, area, district, state, and national levels. The program is filled with community service projects, social activities, competitions, conferences, and teambuilding leadership activities.

SKILLS USA

• Meets once a month at Franklin Technology Center
• SkillsUSA is a vocational student organization open to students enrolled in a vocational technical or health science class. It provides quality educational experiences for students in leadership, team work, citizenship, and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes, and communication sills. Activities include community service projects, professional development opportunities, including leadership and skills contests, fundraisers, and beginning and year end social activities.
