TOUCH OF CLASS

- 9th - 12th grade girls are selected for Touch of Class during try-outs. This show choir performs for civic organizations, schools, concerts and music festivals. Emphasis is placed on vocal ability, general musicianship, choreography, and personality.
TRI-M
- Susan Ideker – Sponsor
- Meeting Dates - First and third Tuesday of each month - after school
- Tri-M is the international honor society recognizing secondary music students for their musical ability, academic excellence, school involvement, and community service.
ORCHESTRA
- Linda Kay Hailey – Sponsor
- Meets in class
- Orchestra is open to all string students at JHS. An audition is required. Orchestra students perform two concerts per semester as well as participate in music festivals in the spring
SOUND DIMENSIONS

- Sound Dimension is open to 9th-12th grade students with an audition. This choir performs many assemblies, concerts, and competition festivals. Emphasis is placed on music, dancing, acting, part-singing, and sight-reading.
STROLLING STRINGS

- Meets in class
- Strolling String students are chosen from orchestra students. An audition is required. This ensemble of 24 members performs at many functions around the area as well as appears at the Orchestra concerts. A program of approximately 30 minutes in length is performed while strolling. Repertoire range from light classical to arrangements of show tunes.
MARCHING/CONCERT BAND

- Must be enrolled in Band as a class
- Marching/Concert band students compete with other school bands, provide music for JHS events and games, and perform at various parades.
