Career Ladder Program

The Joplin School District's Career Ladder Program is provided to promote the professional development of educators and reward excellent educators for the additional responsibilities they undertake. The Career Ladder Program enables the district to employ and maintain the caliber of staff needed to deliver an exemplary educational program to students in the Joplin community.

An educator who chooses to participate in the program must meet certain criteria prior to participation and also agree to complete a career development plan. The plan designates the academic activities that the educator will perform outside contracted time. An educator may progress through the three stages of the Career Ladder as long as he/she meets the criteria for each stage.
