Danny Craven is the Timothy T. Reynolds Multimedia Learning Center Manager for the Joplin School District, joining the staff in August of 2000. Danny was the TV Production teacher and MMC coordinator at Joplin High School from 2000-2004.

Danny's main responsibilities as the MMC manager include scheduling the center's computer lab and conference room to the faculty and staff throughout the district; coordinating meetings; live broadcasting; video and audio production; directing, writing and producing Joplin Schools programs; producing student programs, working with teachers and students in all aspects of TV Production; field shoots; maintaining the computer lab; and troubleshooting computer problems. Danny produces the Board of Education Meetings, directs Joplin Schools' Preparing for the Future (a 30 minute district talk show hosted by Bonnie Schurman that features and variety of guests discussing topics that pertain to Joplin Schools), and works closely with the students in the Television Production 1, 2, and 3 classes. Danny also works closely with instructors throughout the district in the art of Broadcast Television, Commercial Production, and basic video production.

Prior to his current position, Danny graduated from Seneca High School in Seneca, Missouri. He attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri from 1993 to 1997. In 1997-98, he was the Student Station manager for KGCS-TV at MSSU. Danny graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Television and Radio.

Danny has won several awards, including the MCTA "Teaching with Cable" Award in 2008. The Teaching With Cable Awards program recognizes and rewards excellence in integrating cable television and Internet resources into classroom learning. The program is MCTA ís way of recognizing outstanding teachers who use Cable in the Classroom and Internet resources to create new and innovative teaching and learning methods. In the fall of 2002, he was named "Advisor of the Year" at the MSSU Southern Video Showcase Awards. During college, he won the KGCS "Student Volunteer of the Year" award, Meritorious Service Award, and won 2nd place for a 30-second commercial for the Missouri Broadcast Educators Association.

Outside of broadcasting, Danny enjoys playing music. He has been playing drums since he was 5 years old and learned to play the guitar and bass in his teens. He now produces, writes and records his own music. He also enjoys traveling. Some of the countries that he has traveled to include: Spain, France, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Mexico, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Roatan, Honduras.

Danny's wife, Mona, is a personal care attendant coordinator for the Independent Living Center in Joplin. They have one daughter named Maya.

Bruce Vonder Haar has been the TV Production teacher at Joplin High School since 2004. Before coming to JHS, Bruce was the Sports Director at KODE-TV in Joplin where he anchored the sports on the news for 10 years.

Bruce teaches 4 TV Production I classes as well as an advanced 2-hour class where students produce a wide variety of assignments that include news stories, instructional videos, documentaries, music videos, short films and 30-minute talk shows. TV Production students learn the basics of non-linear editing as well as proper techniques of shooting video.

Bruce grew up in the St. Louis area and graduated from Pacific High School. He went on to play college baseball while earning an Associate of Arts Degree from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO followed by a Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri Southern State University.

Bruce also coaches softball and girls basketball at Joplin High School. He and his wife Sarah have a son named Drew and a daughter named Brooke.
