JET-14
Joplin Eagles Television
Launched in March 2005, Joplin Eagles Television (JET-14) offers a tremendous opportunity for Joplin High School students who are interested in mass communications. JHS proudly offers six class periods per day in television production and allows students to operate over $180,000 worth of industry-standard equipment in a modern studio facility. The 1300 square foot JET-14 studio is located on the JHS campus and is connected to the Timothy T. Reynolds Multimedia Center.
JET-14 offers student-created programming including district news, Eagle sports, coverage of district performances, public service announcements, and live Joplin Board of Education meetings. Additionally, JET-14 broadcasts a satellite feed from the Annenberg Foundation – an educational programming feed offered to the district free of charge.
JET-14 can be viewed on channel 14 on Cable One.
