Science
Three units of science credit are required for graduation from the Joplin School District for the class of 2010 and beyond. Currently for the class of 2009 two units of science are required for graduation.

Faculty Directory.Two units of credit in Science, not including Conceptual Physics, and one of which must be a laboratory science, are required for graduation from the Joplin School District. The Science Department consists of ten teachers. Course offerings are advanced Biology, Advanced Chemistry, Advanced Conceptual Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, Applied Biology, Applied Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Conceptual Physics, Earth Science Physics, and Principals of Technology. For the college bound student we offer Biology, and Physics as an Advanced Placement class and General Biology as a Dual Credit class.
