Mathematics

Three units of math credit are required for graduation from the Joplin School District for the class of 2010 and and subsequent graduating classes. Currently for the class of 2007, 2008, and 2009 two units of math are required for graduation.

The Math Department consists of twelve instructors with course offerings such as Academics Plus, Advanced Trigonometry with Vectors, Algebra, Basic Algebra Applications, Basic Geometry Applications, Geometry, Math Analysis, and Trigonometry. For the college bound student, we also offer Calculus in Advance Placement classes, Advanced Math in College Prep classes, and College Algebra and Trigonometry in Dual Credit classes.
