JHS Athletics
Joplin is home of the Eagles! Eagle Pride runs deep, and Joplin has a strong tradition of athletics ranging from baseball state championships to a history of football dynasties. Joplin is a member of the Ozark Conference, and our students enjoy: baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, volleyball, wrestling, dance, and cheer.
JHS athletic facilities include Kaminsky Gymnasium and baseball, soccer, and softball fields (on campus), as well as the newly renovated Junge Field (off campus).

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA), has implemented new eligibility requirements that are effective this semester. In order to be eligible to participate in any extra-curricular activity next fall, each student must be enrolled in at least 6 classes this semester and must also pass at least 6 classes this semester. This rule change affects all MSHSAA activities such as athletics, band, speech and debate, etc. If you have any questions contact your counselor or Mr. Starkweather in the Athletic Office.
