About JHS
Founded in 1885, Joplin High School is the only public high school in Joplin, Missouri. Serving grades 9-12, JHS has an enrolllment of approximately 2000 students. Joplin High School is fully accredited by the North Central Association and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). JHS is also a designated A+ School of Excellence.
Our Facilities
Joplin High School is one of Missouri’s premier educational facilities. Thanks to extensive renovations completed in 2003, Joplin High School offers a new library/media center, state-of-the-art science classrooms, a renovated performance theater, and an expanded cafeteria. In 2005, a 1300 square foot television station (JET-14) was added to the JHS campus which offers students the opportunity to create television programming using industry standard television equipment.
The JHS campus also includes Kaminsky Gymnasium and baseball, soccer, and softball fields (on campus), as well as the newly renovated Junge Field (off campus).
